- Abu- l-Qa-sem-e Ferdousi- (persisch) (* 940-1 in Ba-z, einem Dorf im Bezirk Tu-s, Iran (heute Maschhad); † 1020 in Tu-s) war persischer Dichter und Epiker. Er war der Hauptautor des monumentalen, etwa 60.000 Verse umfassenden iranischen Nationalepos Scha-hna-me (dt. Buch der Könige) , das zu einem kleinen Teil von Daqi-qi- begonnen wurde. Eigen- und Vatersname Ferdousi-s wurden unterschiedlich überliefert (z.B. Mansu-r ibn Hasan, oder Abul Qasem Mansur), sind also nicht eindeutig bekannt. Ferdousi- („der Paradiesische“) ist der Nom de plume.
Haki-m Abu- l-Qa-sim Firdawsi- Tu-si- (Persian), more commonly transliterated as Ferdowsi, (935–1020) was a highly revered Persian poet. He was the author of the Sha-hna-meh, the national epic of Persian-speaking world as well as the entire Iranian realm.
