Fussspur | Der Namaksee ist ein Salzsee im Iran. Er befindet sich ca. 100 km östlich von der Stadt Qom und ca. 120 km südlich von der Hauptstadt Teheran entfernt auf einer Meereshöhe von ca. 790 m. Die gesamte Fläche des Salzgebietes beträgt ca. 1.800 km², der See selbst aber hat nur ca. 1 km². Der See liegt am westlichen Ende einer der beiden großen Salzwüsten im Hochland, der Dasht-e Kavir. Östlich schließt sich der Kavir Nationalpark mit einer Fläche von 4.000 km² an.
